Terms of service - Black Dog on a Lead Walk

  • The event, is organised by the Organisers, Black Dog on a Lead Inc. and Mates In Construction (Aust) Limited.

  • There is no baggage deposit provision on the event day. Participants are advised to carry their valuables with them at all times during the walk.

  • Collection of t-shirts and wristbands (Walkathon Pack) must be done only at designated collection locations before the event.

  • All registered participants who have provided their t-shirt size upon registration, will receive a Walkathon Pack, including an event t-shirt and wristband which they wear on the day of the event.

  • While the Organiser makes every reasonable effort to ensure that all participants will receive a Walkathon Pack, only those who register online will be guaranteed to obtain one of these

  • T-shirt sizes are subject to availability and the next best size will be issued to participants (who have not registered) in the event that the chosen size is no longer available.

  • The Organiser shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to the Walkathon Pack after a participant has made the collection.

  • After registration, there will be no fee refund for any cancellations or for participants who eventually do not participate in the Walkathon, for any reasons whatsoever.

  • The Organiser and its assignees reserve the right to use any photographs, video recordings and any other production or adaptation, thereof, either complete or in part, alone or in conjunction with any article, illustration and/or drawing of Black Dog on a Lead’s Walkathon for any purpose.

  • Participants must walk on designated paths for the entire route and observe traffic regulations as they are responsible for their own safety at all times.

  • It is highly recommended that you do not bring pets to the walk for your safety and for the safety of other participants. The Organiser will not be held liable for any injury or damage resulting from an action taken by a pet.

  • Should any participants feel unwell during the walk, he/she should stop and seek immediate medical assistance from one of the designated First Aid Officers.

  • Whilst the Organiser takes every reasonable precaution to ensure participants' safety, the Organiser will not be responsible for any loss, damage, injury or death, howsoever arising from participating in the Walkathon.

  • In the event of bad weather, participants could expect delays to the start of the Walkathon. However, should bad weather continue, the Organiser, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel the walk without any registration fee refund.

  • The Organiser reserves all rights to add and/or amend the terms and conditions without prior notice.
